Are you an Information System Design professional who wants to use your talent to make a lasting difference for children? Do you get excited about complex information, data and processes and want to make it simple and beautiful? Do you believe in engaging the user in the design process?

UNICEF’s Innovation Unit seeks for an Information System Designer to work on producing an information system that will facilitate strategy and planning work for existing planning and mapping frameworks for UNICEF’s Advocacy and Policy team. Policy analysis and strategic policy advocacy are essential aspects of UNICEF’s work with governments, law-makers, the media, civil society and international organizations on behalf of children and women.

A qualified candidate should have at least 3 years of professional experience in system and information design and a relevant university degree in visual communication, interaction design, information design, or similar area, as well as demonstrated experience with processing and analyzing large amount of information and synthesizing it in a visual format. In addition, experience in graphic design, user research processes, user experience design, and interface design are required. Experience in facilitating a workshop an asset.

The assignment is based in New York City, United States.
